At Gifted Handz, our mission is rooted in resilience, self-care, and
a commitment to serving others. My career choices have always
been inspired by my personal experiences and the unmet needs
I’ve observed in my community.
As a child, I developed a love for cosmetology, practicing with my
mother’s marcel iron and helping her care for my thick hair. That
passion for creativity and care grew into a desire to make beauty
and self-care accessible to everyone, especially those often
overlooked
In 2021, my life took an unexpected turn when I suffered severe
injuries while commuting to work at the airport, just weeks after
returning from maternity leave. That experience left me facing
physical pain, postpartum depression, and the challenge of
raising two young children alone. Unable to rely on
pharmaceuticals, I turned to CBD, herbs, and natural remedies to
heal my mind and body. I began creating CBD-infused products
like body oils, scrubs, bath teas, and cooking ingredients to
manage pain, anxiety, and ADHD naturally. These products
became a cornerstone of my recovery, giving me the strength to
care for myself and my family.
Inspired by my journey, I enrolled in the National Institute of
Massage Therapy to deepen my understanding of the human
body and the power of touch in healing. My goal is to combine
massage therapy with holistic remedies to help others recover
and rebuild their lives—just as I did.
Gifted Handz began with a simple act of kindness: at age 11, I
used a texturizer to transform a young boy’s confidence, sparing
him from teasing about his hair. My late uncle called my hands
“gifted,” and I’ve carried that belief ever since. Today, my vision is
to provide a space where individuals—especially single parents—
can receive affordable self-care and support, while their children’s
basic needs are met.
As long as God grants me the ability to serve, I will dedicate my
life to helping others heal, grow, and thrive.
